On 28 August 2024, FIAN Zambia conducted a community meeting in Mingomba Village, Chililabombwe District, to assess potential human rights violations arising from mining exploration activities by KoBold Investment Company. The village, which has about 800 households, 350 of them are located in a mineral-rich area and face growing concerns over displacement. The visit aimed to document community experiences, particularly regarding land tenure, livelihoods, and engagement with the investor and local authorities.
