In the first quarter of 2024, FIAN Zambia successfully broadcasted three (3) audio documentaries on Hot FM Radio Station as part of its advocacy efforts to promote the Right to Food in Zambia. These documentaries were strategically designed to raise public awareness and understanding of the Right to Food, focusing on key themes such as availability, accessibility, and the legal recognition of this right within the context of Zambia’s constitution.
Hot FM Radio, one of Zambia’s leading radio stations, with a strong presence in Lusaka and Central Province, provided a significant platform for mass outreach. With its initial listenership of over 300,000, the campaign successfully expanded its audience reach to an estimated 500,000 people through repeat broadcasts and strategic airing during peak listening hours.
In addition to radio broadcasting, the documentaries were amplified through FIAN Zambia’s digital platforms, including Facebook and YouTube, further increasing public access and visibility.
